Official launch for Christmas Lights in the district
Christmas has officially begun in Sandyford Business District!
On December 3rd we had the pleasure of switching on the SBD Christmas Lights at The Bauble on Ballymoss Road. An Cathaoirleach Cllr. Jim Gildea
opened the festivities, kicking off a wonderful community celebration.
We were treated to beautiful Christmas carols performed by the talented children from the local national school, Queen of Angels — a heart-warming highlight of the evening.
After the ceremony, An Cathaoirleach crossed the road to view our new illuminated “Sandyford” lettering at the Luas stop. This installation will bring a strong sense of place and identity to the district all year round, not just for the festive season.
Both the Christmas lights and the new illuminated “Sandyford” lettering are the result of the ongoing placemaking initiatives that SBD is developing in partnership with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
Thanks to Colin Dunning and his team at Fantasy Lights Group for their continued support!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to all who helped make the event so special.
Here’s to a bright and festive season ahead!
