Sandyford Business District’s Executive Lunch celebrates Four Decades of Growth and Innovation with Microsoft Ireland
Yesterday, we hosted our third annual Executive Lunch in the Panoramic Suite at Leopardstown Racecourse.
Over 100 leaders from across The District - multinationals and local enterprises, along with public representatives joined us for an afternoon of networking, discussion, and insights on growth and innovation.
Our CEO, Ger Corbett, shared SBD’s vision to strengthen The District’s role as a global innovation hub, including plans for a world-class incubation centre to support start-ups, entrepreneurship, and Ireland’s long-term competitiveness.
We were honoured to welcome Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke TD, who highlighted SBD’s role in driving national growth and recognised Microsoft’s 40 years in Ireland — a remarkable milestone.
Minister Burke also presented the Contribution to the District Award to James O’Connor, Microsoft Ireland Site Leader & Corporate Vice President, in recognition of Microsoft’s sustained investment and impact on the local and national economy.
Thanks also to Cathaoirleach Cllr. Jim Gildea, who opened the event by praising SBD’s role in uniting multinationals and SMEs to drive collaboration, employment, and economic growth.
Thanks to Paul Leonard and Azets for sponsoring the event and to Leo McBride of DigitalX Ireland Ltd. our AV Partner.
Together, we continue to build a district where innovation, entrepreneurship, and partnership thrive.
