Have Your Say: Shaping Sandyford Civic Park
Yesterday, Have Your Say: Shaping Sandyford Civic Park took place at The Concierge, bringing together local businesses, employees, residents and stakeholders to contribute to the planning and design of the proposed Sandyford Civic Park. The consultation invited the community to share ideas and help shape what will become a transformational new public space at the junction of Corrig Road and Carmanhall Road.
The Sandyford Civic Park is a major collaborative initiative between Sandyford Business District and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The project is part funded through the Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) Programme, a European Territorial Cooperation programme financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The programme supports balanced regional development across North West Europe, helping to create more resilient communities while enhancing quality of life and well-being.
Once completed, the project will transform approximately two acres of land into a vibrant, inclusive civic park, creating a welcoming green space for everyone who lives, works in and visits the Sandyford district. The consultation marked an important step in ensuring the future park reflects the needs, aspirations and ideas of the local community.
