SBD Co Hosts Doing Business in Morocco Event
Last Wednesday’s (May 6th) Doing Business in Morocco event at Leopardstown Racecourse brought together Irish and Moroccan government, diplomats and business leaders to explore trade, investment and growth opportunities across African markets.
Co-hosted by Sandyford Business District and moderated by Ivan Yates, the event featured contributions from An Cathaoirleach Jim Gildea, H.E. Mr. Lahcen Mahraoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and Minister Neale Richmond, who highlighted the growing relationship between Ireland and Morocco and the increasing opportunities for collaboration.
Speakers including Ali Seddiki, Lamia Merzouki, Hasna Benyaich and Pierce Dargan showcased Morocco’s strengths in infrastructure, innovation, finance and international trade.
Speaking at the event, SBD CEO Ger Corbett reflected on the success of the SBD and DLR 2025 Morocco trade mission and the importance of the resulting Memorandum of Understanding between SBD and Casablanca Finance City. The partnership creates a direct bridge between Dublin and Casablanca, connecting over 1,000 companies and 26,000 professionals.
