SBD Responds to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Local Property Tax Consultation

Sandyford Business District has formally contributed to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s consultation on the Local Property Tax (LPT) rate for 2027.

In the letter, SBD CEO Ger Corbett outlines concerns about the ongoing 15% reduction in the LPT rate and its wider impact on the local business community, particularly the pressure this places on commercial rates and the cost of doing business in the county. SBD is calling for a neutral adjustment to the basic LPT rate for 2027, while highlighting the importance of a sustainable and equitable approach to funding local services.
