Sheila Moore Honoured with a Cathaoirleach’s Award for Dedication to SBD and Local Communities

Councillor Jim O’Leary, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, formally acknowledged the exceptional efforts of individuals from across the county during the annual Cathaoirleach’s Awards ceremony, held last week at County Hall, Dún Laoghaire. The event recognises those who go above and beyond in making a positive impact in their communities.

We are proud to share that Sheila Moore, Deputy Chair of the Sandyford Business District Board, was among this year’s Cathaoirleach’s Awards recipients.

Sheila was honoured not only for her unwavering dedication to Sandyford Business District Board but also for her valuable contributions to the Foxrock Area Community & Enterprise.

Speaking at the ceremony, Cllr Jim O’Leary said…
“These awards shine a light on the exceptional efforts of individuals who dedicate their time, energy, and expertise to bettering their communities. Their commitment enriches the lives of so many across Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, and we are deeply grateful for their service.”

Frank Curran, Chief Executive of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, also acknowledged the significance of community involvement:
“These awards recognise not only the incredible work of volunteers and leaders, but also the spirit of partnership between our communities and the Council. Together, we continue to build a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive place to live and work.”

The entire team at Sandyford Business District warmly congratulates Sheila on receiving this well-earned recognition—an award that truly reflects her commitment and impact across our communities.
