Taoiseach and Deputy Brennan highlight Sandyford’s potential as European Hub for Start-Ups and Innovation
During questions in the Dail earlier this month, Deputy Shay Brennan TD and Taoiseach Micheál Martin both referred to Sandyford Business District and innovation hubs.
Deputy Brennan raised the potential for a major digital innovation campus in Sandyford Business District, comparing it to the innovation campus in Paris, STATION F, and called for Government support to make Sandyford Business District a European hub for start-ups and innovation.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin welcomed the proposal, saying innovation hubs are vital for entrepreneurship and raised the importance of close engagement with Enterprise Ireland and third-level institutions to progress the project.
The Taoiseach further noted that more financial support is required for initiatives and projects to drive the development of innovation hubs for the benefit of entrepreneurship.
