• Collaborate with residents, community groups and local business interests to explore implementation of innovative sustainable practices and encourage these groups to implement their own green charter
• Strongly encourage and support all business in the district to create and implement their own green charter
• Shop local to support our local economy
• Explore and prioritise green or renewable options for District energy usage
• Reduce energy and water consumption use in the District
• Commit to reduce, reuse, recycle our waste and to composting our organic waste
• Encourage our members and visitors to our District to walk or cycle where practical
• Where we provide parking, ensure it includes adequate cycle parking
• Explore the possibility to develop a biodiversity garden or allotment and support native planting and wildlife in the District
