SBD Tariff Briefing Session

Tariff Update – Impacts & Insights for Sandyford Business District Businesses

On May 1st, Sandyford Business District hosted an exclusive briefing for business leaders to explore the potential implications of U.S. tariffs on Irish businesses.

The event featured expert analysis, strategic insights and a lively panel discussion, followed by an engaging Q&A session.
The keynote address was delivered by Neale Richmond TD, Minister of State for International Development and Diaspora.

The panel discussion was moderated by Ger Corbett, CEO of Sandyford Business District, and featured the following distinguished speakers:

Daniel Mulhall, former Ambassador of Ireland to the U.S. & Consultant, Rockwood Public Affairs
Carol Boyne Lynch Lynch, Tax Partner, BDO Customs & International Trade Services
Terence Deacon, Senior Investment Consultant, Zurich Insurance

Together, the panel provided valuable knowledge and strategic insights for businesses across The District. With global trade facing an unpredictable future, a key takeout from the session was the critical importance of informed, strategic preparation.

We were also joined by Deputy Shay Brennan TD who has just been appointed Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Finance by an Taoiseach, local Councillors from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and business leaders from across The District.

Thanks to Rockwood Public Affairs for their help in preparing for this session, to Gerry Walsh for the use of the wonderful Dynamic Space and to our AV Partner Leo McBride and the team at DigitalX Ireland Ltd.
