Sandyford Business District Wellness Week is shaping up to be a great 5 days. It will run from Monday 21st to Friday 25th of September. We have a number of free talks and workshops taking place to promote health & wellness for employees and employers alike, these are listed below. Join us for one or for all, but remember, spaces are limited so register early to avoid disappointment!

Movement Monday - 21st of September

Physical Wellbeing Working From Home with Jenny Branigan of Total Physio - 12:00 to 13:00

This webinar will focus on physical wellbeing through exercise, movement, gardening etc. Jenny will also speak about sticking to a routine to help reduce stress and anxiety.

Wellness Wednesday - 23rd of September

Building Resilience And Tackling Everyday Challenges With DR. Eddie Murphy - 12:00 to 13:00

Dr. Eddie Murphy Clinical Psychologist, and Adjunct Associate Professor, UCD School of Psychology. He is a well known TV psychologist, where his trusted style, practical, respectful and hope orientated approach has a strong solution focus. His passion and enthusiasm about well-being is anchored in evidenced base psychology.

This presentation will explore;

Emotions in everyday life and how to manage these emotions. What and how to enhance your resilience. Managing stress and promoting our wellbeing during the pandemic.

Dr. Murphy will also look at how lessons from positive psychology can help us live a life of pleasure, meaning and engagement.

Tech Thursday - 24th of September

Fostering A Healthy Relationship With Technology with Ryan McInnes of The Learning Rooms - 13:30 to 14:15

This highly engaging session will explore the idea of how we can foster a healthy relationship and lifestyle with technology. We hear of the pitfalls and how technology can be detrimental, but we must also acknowledge the positive role it can play in our day-to-day life.

Feel Good Friday - 25th of September

Desk Yoga with Lisa Burke of The Wellness Crew - 8.30 - 9.30

Desk Yoga is easy to do at the workstation. Designed to ease out areas of tension common for most people you will learn some simple but effective self-Shiatsu acupressure points for headaches, neck/shoulder pain, anxiety/stress and fatigue. Finishing with a short mindfulness/breathing technique, which will leave participants refreshed and energised.
